Welcome to my life! I am Kimberly (wife, mother, academic coach, animal lover). This marks the beginning of the next phase of life for me. I am going to say that I am “top of the hill”, but not quite over the hill yet! Perspective is everything and the view from up here is pretty decent so far…
My husband and I are now faced with the impending quietness of an empty house. Our oldest daughter is closer to 30 than 20 (seriously?) and with her future husband (hopefully?). Our son is a senior in high school and starting college in the fall (fingers crossed!). And our youngest daughter is relishing the thought of having the house to herself for the next two years until she heads off to college (don’t leave me!).
We have made our home in the house my husband grew up in on a tributary of the James River in Virginia. The idea of being landlocked is NOT appealing to me. Old western movies make me feel like I need to put lotion on! Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the beauty of a desert, but I need the water!
